Rock Star CD Recording Workshop is best explained as "recorded" karaoke, and is a unique and imaginative way for children and teens to create their own CDs. In the age of Hannah Montana and High School Musical, kids of any age love the chance to be real rock stars just like their heros!

At Rock Star, our mission is to create a fun, creative, and positive experience for children. Each child that leaves a Rock Star workshop feels proud and excited to take home a personal CD and share his or her creation with family and friends. At a Rock Star workshop, participants create long-lasting memories and great gifts!
Ariel Alexander started recording children in 2001 when she worked at a daycare in Bloomington Indiana. Since then she has become more and more excited about expanding her business to reach as many children as possible. Ariel holds a Bachelors degree in Jazz Studies from Indiana University, a Masters degree from the University of Southern California, and is pursuing her Doctorate at University of Southern California. What is the age group for this? Can my 3 year old really do it? Is my 10 year old too old?
We serve a wide age group: from about 2 year olds up to 12 year olds. For the little ones, we have tracks such as ABC's, Twinkle Twinkle, and Happy Birthday. For our teeny bopper crowd, we have tracks from popular music such as High School Musical, Hannah Montana, and Hillary Duff.
Online RSVP!? What's this?
We know how busy you are and how precious your time is! That is why we have created an online reply system. This way your guests can reply to your party without leaving messages on your answering machine! Rock Star will receive all the replies on our online site, and send you concise emails detailing who is and isn't coming to your party. You can request these emails once a day or once a week, whatever is most convenient!
What about music licensing?
Rock Star is very careful to abide by the laws of music licensing. Because Rock Star is a STUDIO, we are allowed to record any song and give out a master copy. If you want multiple copies of your CD, you must first buy the music licensing rights. However, public domain songs can be recorded and copied as many times as you wish. Some popular public domain songs are Twinkle Twinkle, the ABCs, and many holiday tunes.
How long will it take each child to record?
Some children are very shy and take a few minutes to warm up, while others come to our recording station and belt out song after song. On average, leave about 7 minutes for each child to record. In this time they can record 1- 4 songs.
We REALLY want Rock Star at our party, but we're not having it at our house. Can you suggest other venues?
Sure! Right now Rock Star has partnerships with the following play/party centers, and we are always adding on!
How far in advance should I reserve my party?
As soon as you know a date and approximate time. We fill up quickly for parties, and we have a low fee to reserve your date. We offer 10% off to parties reserved at least a month in advance!
What if I don't want a party, but I want to get my child recorded anyway?
We understand that our CDs make precious memories, even if you aren't having a party or fundraiser. Our mobile studio will come to you for individual appointments. This is a great way to make holiday gifts. Doesn't Grandma want a copy?! Call or email for more info.
